Hi there! Here is a little about me…

My name is Nicole Shivani, I’ve lived in South Africa for most of my life then moved to , New York for school and work and now currently moving between SEA and EA. I have been working with Skyeng for about 4 years and studied English for a long time, it has allowed me to meet so many wonderful students and change their lives in the best way possible. I am currently studying Public Health, which I am really passionate about. I look forward to meeting you and helping you while also having many interesting conversations.

I'm Grant, a qualified and experienced ESL teacher at Skyeng.

I started teaching 23 years ago but spent most of my working life in business. My heart brought me back to teaching though, to what I'm passionate about and where I feel I can serve best. I get huge self-fulfillment by watching students learn and learning with them. I use extension to lead my students into an environment where learning can take place.

Within structure, I make classes relaxed, where I lead my students into learning rather than simply giving lectures. I prefer to honestly talk about the topics being taught, using my experience in the actual topic and drawing from the students experience to learn vocabulary in a contextual way and to teach grammar with realistic examples and exercises. On a personal level, I still run a small profitable busines, I have a large family with five children and try and get the most out of life for my family and myself. We love living in Africa where we enjoy it’s hot sun, unspoiled nature and it’s pristine beaches.

If learning English is what you want or need to do to get the most out life, then allow me that privilege of serving you in that way. I teach all ages from 4 year olds starting off, to adults wanting to improve their skill or prepare for an English proficiency exam, or needing tuition in business English use. I have completed my studies and graduated from Elizabeth Beauty School with both a local and international certificate in cosmetology/professional makeup artistry. I have completed my TEFL course, certifying that I can teach English as a foreign language online and in a classroom environment. I've taught students from ages 3 to 65, both male and female. It is always my aim to make sure that by the end of each lesson or series of lessons, the set goals will have been accomplished. It is also important to maintain healthy and respectful relationships with all my students.

With the dedication, discipline, and determination instilled in me, I look forward to having the most successful English lessons with my students.

My name is Alvin. I spent most of my life in Canada, but when I was young, I lived in the U.S. for a few years. After graduating from college and working in the computer field for a few years, I switched careers and started teaching English in Changchun, China. A few years later I moved on to Tianjin and then to Shenzhen. Afterwards, I taught in the desert city of Piura, Peru; and Jakarta, Indonesia. 

I returned to Canada for about ten years, teaching mainly with SkyEng, and then spent three years starting up a school in China, helping a friend there,

During my voyages, I taught young children and fast-moving businessmen, college students and gentle housewives. It was a real joy and a challenging adventure!

Now back in Canada, I hold online English classes once again with SkyEng!

I am a graduate from UNISA with a degree in Linguistics. I have a passion for helping people and have found the role of being a teacher fulfills this passion immensely. In my lessons, I afford my students as much speaking as possible, to help them with their pronunciation and become comfortable with speaking English. I am also patient and understanding to difficulties there may be as this may not be the primary language and learning multiple languages ​​has its challenges. I believe that slow and steady wins the race, meaning, it's not about finishing courseware, it's about my student understanding what is being learned in the courseware that is important. My wish is for students to enjoy the learning experience and not have it be a chore to do. I enjoy seeing progress.

I have a TEFL teaching certificate and also a bachelor's degree in business management, and my background experience greatly supports me as an English tutor, as previously I was a small business owner with many years of sales and marketing experience. Also, I have been fortunate enough to travel to different parts of the world and experience many different cultures, which complements my conversational teaching style.

I have five years of experience as an ESL teacher and have helped students of all ages and levels with their grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. So whether your favorite subject is travel, sports, relationships, religion, health and fitness, or maybe even cooking, I have a wide working knowledge and am ready to discuss nearly any subject with you.

I have a B.A. degree in English and linguistics, an honors degree in teaching English as a first, second, third, and foreign language, and a higher diploma in education. I have over twenty years of experience teaching English in high schools to a wide variety of students with different abilities, a range of ages, and various nationalities.

I became a teacher because I am passionate about learning and inspiring others to learn. I enjoy teaching English because it covers all kinds of interesting topics, and I love interacting with my students.

In my spare time, I socialize with family and friends, nurture my garden, practice yoga, and read. I am particularly interested in history and psychology. I also enjoy music and dance.

I have been teaching English as a second language for over a year. I taught all ages from kindergarten and university to adults. I have a bachelor's degree in human physiology and love everything related to the science of man.

I love to write and explore our human condition through the expression of words such as poetry and scriptwriting. I spend time reading, hiking, watching TV shows and travelling. I lived in China for the past year and had the opportunity to immerse myself in culture and learn a little mandarin.

My name is James and I am a native English teacher from Australia. I grew up in the UK so I have a soft British accent. I have been teaching for 12 years, 7 years in Russia and speak that language. I teach all ages and from beginner to advanced as well as exam preparation( IELTS) and Business English. My hobbies include languages and travelling. I’m from London, England and have been a teacher since 2000. I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England and Wales.

I have a particular interest in helping students secure the job of their dreams and can help you with every aspect of this, from writing/rewriting your CV (resume) and cover letter, to practising for English interviews.
