My name is Nancy, I have a background in cultural anthropology with both a Bachelor and a Masters in this field with various English teaching certificates under my belt and experience teaching English to people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and ages. I started teaching English as a volunteer teacher while working on several anthropological projects in coastal Ecuador and Costa Rica in the early 2010s. I love learning about other cultures and interacting with people from all over the world while contributing positively to their learning experience. Hence, I am now exploring the developing world of teaching English online. I have lived in several parts of the world including Norway, Ecuador, Costa Rica, the U.S., and Colombia; in each country, I have had the opportunity to teach either English or social sciences to individuals or groups of people; every experience has contributed to my love for teaching.
My teaching philosophy is to provide support and exciting lessons to help students achieve their English learning goals. As a teacher, I am always evolving, taking courses and learning about the latest teaching techniques to provide the highest quality English learning experience. As my student, you can expect a dynamic, patient and approachable teacher who will make sure to meet your needs and help you reach your English learning goals. Thank you for joining me, hope to see you in class!
