My name is Tadana, an Elementary School Teacher from South Africa.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and I also have a Tesol Certificate.
Growing up in a country where education was not a priority to many, I was one of the few who were fortunate to get a good education. It saddened me to see some children who could not read or write. I decided to take part in the movement of improving the education system through teaching. I crave to contribute in shaping the world of tomorrow.
I have been teaching for the past 5 years, both in class and online teaching. I have also been part of a teacher exchange programme in Canada for 1 year. I worked alongside some older professionals who opened my eyes to a whole different and exciting world of teaching.
I provide a variety of materials for my students to explore. I believe teaching is not all about grammar, but it is learning how to speak out and be heard by others.
I conduct my lessons on a communicative basis because my aim is to help my students manage normal conversation. My teaching approach is exciting and accepting of my student’s individual differences.
When I am not teaching, I love to take my dog for walks, creative writing, reading and watching movies.
To you my future students, I want to inform you that the English language is special because it gives you a voice. You should know that words are powerful and can influence people to change the world!
