When we change Direct Speech into Reported speech, there is usually a back Tense change. For example, "It is hot outside" in Direct speech becomes "He said that it was hot outside" in Reported Speech.

Should / might / could / mustn't / ought to / would are not changed. For example, "I could understand it" in Direct Speech is "He said that he could understand it" in Reported Speech.

"You should do it" in Direct Speech is "He said that I should do it" in Reported Speech.

In Reported Speech, we can use both "say" or "tell". The meaning is the same, but the grammar is different. With "tell" we need the object ("me", "you", "her"). With "say" we can't use the object. For example:

  • She said (that) she had already been there.
  • She told me (that) she had already been there.

Задания — огонь! Жаль только, что навык устной речи никак не проверишь здесь. Если хотите потренировать именно речь, то мне лично понравились Skyeng Talks: недорого и времени много не отнимает.

Отличный способ быстро проверить, помнишь ли ты какую-то тему по английскому или ее нужно повторить. Надеюсь, раздел будет пополняться новыми заданиями.
