My name is Vasilija Ida, but almost everyone calls me Ida. I studied psychology at the University of Crete in Greece.  However, I haven’t worked as a psychologist that much. Languages, that were always my great love, turned out to be my life calling.  Since I studied in Greece I also learned Greek, and after finishing my studies I started translating and teaching English and Greek and I never stopped, so I teach for over ten years now. Teaching brings my two passions together- meeting new people, helping them learn and improve their English language skills and feeling more comfortable and confident while using it in their daily and professional life.

I am strict in correcting mistakes, serious in trying my best to explain anything that is not clear, but I do my best to make the atmosphere during the class relaxed because I believe we learn much better when we are not tensed. Just like no two persons are the same, my lessons aren’t either. I tailor and adjust my work to each student and their needs individually.

I have various other interests- I love reading, cooking, making sweets, playing with my dogs, making jewelry. Every student of mine is also a source of some new knowledge for me and I really enjoy that. My students help me grow and improve, both as a person and as a teacher.
